I thought you might be interested in a happy story today. Several years ago I went to a coaching clinic in Allentown, Pa. near my home. One of the featured speakers was none other than Jim Tressel. I was fortunate enough to get a couple of pictures (there aren't a lot of Buckeye fans out this way so I didn't have to fight crowds!) with coach and he was kind enough to autograph my 2002 National Championship banner.
Of course I purchased a 2014 National Championship banner and hoped to have coach Meyer autograph it for me. On two separate occasions I sent the banner to coach only to have it returned unsigned by his administrative staff who indicated he didn't sign autographs like these. A couple of weeks ago I tried again hoping that since he is retired now he might have more time for this sort of thing. Well, the third time is the charm! The autographed banner showed up at my home yesterday. I now have the matching set and I'm thrilled. I'm old enough to consider this will be a nice remembrance to hand down to my son who is also a huge Buckeye fan.
