Lemme preface this by saying if you wanna reply with "who cares?" Or "we don't belong" or anything along those lines, then **** right off and don't bother bc everyone hates you and you're the exact reason why our fanbase is so toxic. As much as the loss hurts, we have no choice but to move on. The sport requires it bc they've earned (yes, I said earned despite the loss yesterday) the opportunity to compete for a national title. Competitors don't back down from that but ******* do. So pick who you want to be.
That being said, I see us anywhere in the 6-8 range with the possibility of being the 9 seed. One thing that stands out is the amount of southern teams that could be potential matchups in the first round. That means there's a strong possibility of a southern team that has to come up to the shoe at night in mid December. UGA vs Tennessee was at night and it was 50 degrees but apparently players from both teams were asking to crank up the heaters on the benches. I don't even know if the QB's from those teams have ever played in what could be really tough conditions.
Nico Iamaleava (Tenn) is from southern cal. Carson Beck (UGA) is from Jacksonville. Jalen Milroe (Bama) is from Texas. Depending on how next week plays out, any one of those teams (as well as others) could be coming to the Shoe when it's about 25-30 degrees outside. This could be one of those instances where we have a pretty big advantage with that. Obviously we have to make sure Chip Kelly knows he's not playing Tecmo Bowl with Bo Jackson & that he's actually calling a real game but he's got 3 weeks to figure that out.
