Reynoldsburg police are asking parents of children who trick-or-treated in the suburb to check all candy tonight, after a razor blade was found in a candy bar.
Lt. Shane Mauger said police have no reason to believe the situation was a hoax. He said that the razor blade was in a Snickers bar.
Mauger said the child who had the candy had been trick-or-treating in the Reynoldsburg area of Kingsley Drive and Taylor Road. It’s unclear from which house the candy came, he said. The name of the family wasn’t released.
The child’s parent noticed something in the candy as the children were looking through what they got after returning home, he said.
If anyone notices a problem with candy, they are asked to call Reynoldsburg police at 614-866-6622.
