I am confident most who post here have never read the book, "The Fourth Turning: What Cycles of History Tell Us About America's Next Rendezvous With Destiny" which was written in the late 1990s, authors William Strauss and Niel Howe theorize that the history of civilization moves in 80-to-100 year cycles called "saecula." It is really worth your time/consideration and contemplation from the perspective of "those who do not know the history are bound to repeat it" camp of cyclical history.
