As some of you may know, I play bass in a rock band, and the other day we were having a practice preparing for an upcoming gig. As it turns out, two members of the band are pro-Trump (the lead singer, myself), and two are anti-Trump (guitarist, drummer).
Between a set, for whatever reason I started playing the bass line from "Give it Away" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. (Very cool bass riff btw - the dead notes make the riff.) In any event, the rest of the band joins in and I hear my lead singer start singing the "Bob Marley" part, with a quite funny twist -
"Bob Muller didn't find collusion"
"Bob Muller didn't find obstruction"
"Bob Muller didn't find corruption"
"Gimme the Wall Gimme the Wall Gimme the Wall now"
x3
I then chime in with -
"I gotta tariff gonna take and slap it on you."
x3
Not to be outdone - the guitarist follows with -
"When I get there you ain't lettin' in my mama."
"When I get there you ain't lettin' in my papa."
We all had to stop playing because we were laughing so hard.
Just a funny moment of levity across party lines that all enjoyed. It can be done if you don't take everything so seriously.
In any event - feel free to sing along ...
