During Maryland’s failed attempt to win last year’s game with a 2 pt conversion in OT, their right tackle (#59) was at least 3 yards deep in the end zone, blocking nobody, when the QB threw the pass. The play started from the 3 yard line. So, the tackle was at least 6 yards past the line of scrimmage when the pass was thrown.
Should this have been a penalty? My understanding is that 3 yards beyond the LOS is the limit but does it continue into the end zone?
