Looking at Rutgers schedule, it's not inconceivable that they start the year 6-1 or similar and then finish with 5 of their more challenging games to possibly make a bowl game:
Texas State Bobcats
at Ohio State Buckeyes
at Kansas Jayhawks
Buffalo Bulls
Indiana Hoosiers
Illinois Fighting Illini
at Maryland Terrapins
Northwestern Wildcats
Oct. 27 OFF
at Wisconsin Badgers
Michigan Wolverines
Penn State Nittany Lions
at Michigan State Spartans
West Virginia has a similarly back end loaded schedule with a weaker first 8 games and their more difficult games in the final 4 of Texas, TCU, OKie St, OK. Expect a lot of hype around WVU going into those final 4 games.
The most interesting front end loaded schedule I've seen is Texas A&M: Clemson this week and Alabama week after next. Not much time for Jimbo to get settled in.
I like how the OSU schedule is a little better balanced with the more difficult games sprinkled across the season.
