One of the Wisemen was at practice today and chimed in with some thoughts....

"its Hell Week---so multiple practices tend to bring out the best and the worst in guys---so we will know a lot more about where people stand after these next few days...

Very very physical practice today. Lots of scraps and blow ups---which was to be expected. Coaches and players were at each other pretty much the entire day and it was very intense and borderline chippy...

Weber getting hurt today was certainly a lowlight. But it doesn't take away from how this kid has been playing. One of the things the coaches are in love with about Weber is the fact that he practices so darn hard--and just goes 100 miles per hour in every drill----so hard in fact, that sometimes it ticks off the defensive players who may just be going through the motions...Weber is the real deal and will be back stronger than ever

Braxton is working with the two's at the WR/H and is focusing hard on the blocking assignments. The physicality of the position is something that seems to be a little surprising to him, but he is acclimating well. Had a "wow" moment when he blew the top off the defense and just sprinted past everyone and hauled in a long TD pass--still working on playing fast as a wide receiver, but is getting in and out of his cuts faster and faster and will be a weapon this year...

Noah Brown is making a huge move---and built off a fine scrimmage with a breakthrough practice. Had four of five circus catches today, along with some devastating blocks coming back inside(think Spencer, Evan). So tough to match up with as he is so physically strong, but surprisingly quick. My pick for breakout player of the year on offense(along with Torrance Gibson)

Vonn Bell is being asked to lay off destroying wide receivers in practice, as he appears to be in mid season form already. Absolutely wacked Johnnie Dixon today and nearly decapitated him. Playing with even more intensity and swagger---if that is possible. Looks like a veteran NFL player in his contract year(which he kind of is). Going to have a big year at the safety spot.

My biggest question is whether or not we can have a dependable kickoff guy.....that's when you know you are dealing with high quality problems....."

more to come....
