Since we lost Muhammad, even after picking up Soto, assuming Kaleb does follow thru and leave for the pros we still have a spot available and are getting rather thin at guard in general. Specifically at point guard since Soto can't play this year leaving Walker as the only true PG on the roster.
I saw on TOS one of their insiders say he thinks Holtmann may be done with the portal this year and is content with the roster as is. That doesn't make much sense to me given the extra spot and the lack of depth at that position. We should be making use of that extra scholarship available and use it on a one year player so that we don't lose a spot for a 2021 freshman.
Does Alex or Kevin or Kyle have any insight on whether or not Holtmann is done or not for 2020 grad transfers? Was hoping to go after the PG from Harvard. Maybe Towns could convince him to come here with him. But I would be open minded towards any guard that would consider coming here for a year that would be a good player.
