I wasn't sure where to put this, and I apologize if this has been said in another thread. And, let me say this from the get-go...I am NOT concerned that the Corona virus is much more than an uber flu, so I'm not sounding an alarm.
BUT...I AM concerned about a future virus that might have a mortality rate of 20, 30, 40% of infected people. If that were to happen, we're totally screwed. So, the silver lining to all this is that we're getting a real-life drill here. Yes, it's a royal pain in the ass and we can't root for our favorite teams. But, if this gives us a blue print on how to--and how not to--deal with a real crisis, then I'm good with it.
