Watched the game again...
Need to work on the ZR. There were a couple where if Fields keeps it he was off and running.
Deep ball passing: under threw the first pass of the game, the WR had him beat and ended up having to play DB to breakup the INT.
Ball security: teams will now start going for the ball. It’s the only way a team will be able to stay with OSU. Turnovers are the greatest equalizer.
Short relief passes: only way teams get pressure is by bringing extra guys/blitz. We need some sort of relief valve for Fields. Swing pass, crossing route, TE hitch/out, arrow route with the RB. Not sure if they have been doing it and Fields isn’t hitting it, but it seems like we could do something to provide relief.
Tackling: thought yesterday was their worst tackling performance this year.
Kickoffs are interesting to say the least... the first one was rough, but can he not kick it out of the end zone? Do we not have anyone that can?
Love what Browning is bringing as a pass rusher!
I think you’re going to see an RPO like QB draw when they go to that empty set. On the last one, they sent the CB’s in and WR were WIDE open. Hill was jumping up and down it looked like waiving his hands.
I’ve seen Michigan writers/people saying Werner was abused by the PSU TE! Not sure what game they were watching. He had maybe one impactful catch? I thought Werner was GREAT!
Franklin after the game said their offense couldn’t communicate at all because of crowd noise! Guess the noon game myth is busted... great job by the fans!
