Not sure if people have heard this but Southwest Airlines is discontinuing service in/out of Newark (EWR) effective 11/3. The Rutgers game is 11/16. So if you had already booked a flight (like me) or were looking to fly to that game and just assumed that SWA was going to be there, they won't.
If you had booked a flight already, they are offering either to work with you on LGA or will issue a refund.
Just wanted to give people a heads-up. I did not see the news yesterday on that, but did see it this morning and jumped on it quickly. I actually have a less expensive flight with American Airlines now, but lose all of the flexibility that SWA offers and the free bag.
It would be so much easier if I could just afford NetJets... LOL
