First of all the necessary superstitious disclaimer that there's a ton of work left to do to make the playoff.
With that out of the way, myy answer is…CLEMSON.
I respect the hell out of Jeaux and think he's gonna be special in the NFL…but I think our pass rush can get home consistently against LSU, and our secondary is just light years better than Bama's this year. And needless to say I think they're seriously vulnerable on defense – including against the run.
OU has no defense, as usual.
God help Oregon, Utah, or Baylor if one of them gets in.
Georgia's got talent but I just think we shut down their offense and have no trouble scoring on them.
Always have to respect Bama, but their D is Big 12–like this year and Tua makes mistakes when pressured – and at any rate I don't think they really have a path.
But Clemson will be there waiting.
They have a real live defense, they're obviously loaded on offense, Lawrence has cleaned up his play, and of course they've been there before. Everyone's sort of written them off post-UNC as this year's 2014 FSU/2015 OSU, but I think they've quietly turned the corner since their close call.
Obviously I want us to play the best and beat the best and all that shit – but if I'm looking for our best chance to bring home the hardware, they're the one team I'd prefer to avoid.
