For the first time since the Buckeyes beat Alabama back in 2014, I didn’t drink for this game because I wasn’t confident enough the game was going to be close (maybe I should start doing that more often?). My thoughts are:

1. As much as I dislike Dabo and Clemson, absolute class acts after the game for him and Skalski making a point to come over to Fields to congratulate/apologize. He gained some respect from me tonight.
2. Everyone is focusing how great a job our defense was, and they were terrific, but I was astounded on how clean a pocket the O-line gave Fields to throw all night, and pave the way Sermon. Absolutely masterful performance tonight.
3.Will someone please rewatch the game from the beginning of the 4th quarter and tell me how many flags were thrown against OSU in a row? I believe I counted 7 or 8. Appeared they were trying to allow Clemson a last ditch effort.
3. I realize how good of a human being Master Teague is, but after watching Miyan take a couple snaps tonight, there is no way you’re going to tell me he’s not as good. He’s much better, and that’s been apparent the select few chances he’s gotten.
4. The only thing better than Fields play tonight of 6 TD’s, was his toughness. He refused to let his brothers down tonight. When you got a QB that determined as your leader, you can take on anyone, including Bama.
5. Coombs confetti snow angels after the game was hilarious, and it’s easy to see why players love to play for him. He called an excellent game tonight, and silenced his critics (including me), about whether he was the right pick for a coordinator position and not just position coach.
6. So THIS is what a Clemson D looks like when they can’t steal signs...Off balance and confused all night. Is there any question they have been so good in the past BECAUSE of that?
7. Back to D line. Easily the best game they played all year. They abused Clemsons O all night long.
8. Our biggest problem last year was getting into the red zone and not converting it into 6 points. Problem solved.
9. Shawn Wade continues to get abused by just about anyone you put in front of him. Clemson knew it, so they picked on him. Hopefully he uses that as motivation for his last game as a Buckeye.
10. Where does our recruiting go from here? Well, it was already on fire, and we just made a STATEMENT to the world last night. I think that will send a serious message to recruits (Tuimoloau?). We pick up Singletary today, and hopefully that continues the Ewers snowball affect of turning ‘22 into the best class yet for OSU (I know we always say that, but I have a feeling ‘22 really could be the best ever. THE FUTURE IS BRIGHT, ONTO BAMA!
