Typical Conservative

Sounds as hypocritical as @northernbuck when preaching about the lack of family, while supporting the politics that don’t practice what they preach.

Separately, the day after Cardinal Pell died, a conservative magazine published what it said was an article by the cardinal decrying as a “toxic nightmare” Pope Francis’ determination to sound out Catholic laity on such issues as church teaching on sexuality and the role of women. Those issues will likely spark sharp debate later this year in a meeting of bishops from around the world summoned by Pope Francis to the Vatican.

Rest in piss, in my humble opinion.

Got what he deserved.

MAGA Terrorism

Scores of insecure White terrorists doing all of this solely because they’re not emotionally capable of processing loss.

No calls to stop, some on this board seem to cheer them on and continue posting more falsehoods about electoral fraud that has been laughed out of nearly every court in the country.

Why do you support violence and terrorism against anyone who acknowledges the HUGE defeat Trump suffered on Nov. 3?

  • Dozens of Trump supporters, some armed, went to the home of Jocelyn Benson, Michigan’s Democratic secretary of state, and began shouting obscenities.
  • On Twitter, Trump supporters have posted photographs of the home of Ann Jacobs, a Wisconsin official, and mentioned her children.
  • In Phoenix, about 100 Trump supporters, some armed, protested at the building where officials were counting votes.
  • In Vermont, officials received a voice message threatening them with “execution by firing squad.”
  • Seth Bluestein, a Philadelphia official, received anti-Semitic and violent threatsafter Pam Bondi, a Trump ally, publicly mentioned him.
  • A Georgia poll worker went into hidingafter a viral video falsely claimed he had discarded ballots.
  • Brad Raffensperger, Georgia’s Republican secretary of state, and his wife have received death threats, including by text message, and caravans have circled their house.
  • Gabriel Sterling, another Georgia official, received a message wishing him a happy birthday and saying it would be his last.

Ohio State looking for a new or an additional director of player personnel?

@AustinWard @Birm who’s the currently director or player personnel? Are they leaving or is the position that was posted 2 days ago for someone to spread that responsibility out?

Marv hit with video and NCAA rules

The more I watch this replay the more I’m pissed off that the penalty was removed. The UGA player clearly launches his body at Marv, and he wasn’t going for the ball. Marv was clearly a defenseless player. I don’t see how that hit wasn’t the definition of targeting according the the NCAA’s own rules. At a minimum it was a personal foul for a hit to the head and neck area of a defenseless receiver. @AustinWard called it, the PAC-12 refs impacted the game.

Targeting and Making Forcible Contact to Head or Neck Area of a Defenseless Player

ARTICLE 4. No player shall target and make forcible contact to the head or neck area of a defenseless opponent with the helmet, forearm, hand, fist, elbow or shoulder. This foul requires that there be at least one indicator of targeting. When in question, it is a foul. ...

Note 1: "Targeting" means that a player takes aim at an opponent for purposes of attacking with forcible contact that goes beyond making a legal tackle or a legal block or playing the ball. Some indications of targeting (emphasis NCAA's) include but are not limited to:

  • Launch-a player leaving his feet to attack an opponent by an upward and forward thrust of the body to make forcible contact in the head or neck area
  • A crouch followed by an upward and forward thrust to attack with forcible contact at the head or neck area, even though one or both feet are still on the ground
  • Leading with helmet, shoulder, forearm, fist, hand or elbow to attack with forcible contact at the head or neck area
  • Lowering the head before attacking by initiating forcible contact with the crown of the helmet
Note 2: Defenseless player (Rule 2-27-14). When in question, a player is defenseless. Examples of defenseless players include but are not limited to:
  • A receiver attempting to catch a forward pass or in position to receive a backward pass, or one who has completed a catch and has not had time to protect himself or has not clearly become a ball carrier
