I was in Tennessee the last two days for the Elite 11 and a prospect camp run by trainer Daryl Graham. 2021 four-star interior lineman Noah Josey was competing at Graham's camp and I got him to discuss his top-five which includes Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Ohio State, and Stanford.
"Ohio State has been recruiting me since last summer. I went up there with my trainer and I got to tour everything and meet all the people. That's probably what I like most about Ohio State, the people they're great guys al the coaches, I got to spend a little bit of time with the players... I love coach Stud, and coach Alford he's my area recruiter..."
To hear the rest of the video just hit play:
Of all the schools he listed I think he's a plan B guy except for Kentucky. I heard he tried to commit to UGA but they told him to hold off. That isn't confirmed with anyone at UGA but a trusted source in the industry expressed that to me so I'm passing it on to the board.
Stanford hasn't offered him even though he said he speaks with Stanford the most so I find that puzzling. Perhaps they're waiting to pull the trigger after they miss on a few other targets.
He said Bama is recruiting him the second hardest but here's what I know about Bama's offensive line recruiting efforts. They will most likely get the Brockermeyer twins, Tommy and James. Tommy is a tackle and James plays center. The Tide are also in the top two for Amarius Mims and Terrance Ferguson who are both tackles. They are also in it for Jager Burton and Willaim Griffin. I know most of those players are tackles and Josey is a guard but Bama will throw a tackle at guard so high school positions don't mean much.
I think Ohio State is staying in touch with him as a backup plan to Jager Burton. If he wanted to commit to Kentucky today I'm confident they would take him.
