COLUMBUS, Ohio – Carmen’s Crew will be playing in the final session of The Basketball Tournament’s Columbus Regional on Tuesday evening at the Covelli Center and tickets are half price, at just $20 for the two-game session. Tickets can be purchased at the link above or at the Covelli Center box office on Tuesday evening.
The session begins at 7 p.m. as Blue Collar U (Buffalo alumni) will take on Category 5 (Miami alumni). Carmen’s Crew (Ohio State alumni) will face The Money Team at 9 p.m.
Carmen’s Crew defeated Mid American Unity on Friday evening 77-65 and then took down Men of Mackey (Purdue alumni) on Sunday, 80-69. The Money Team opened with an 86-71 win over The Region on Friday and then went 17-of-23 from long range in a 93-76 blowout of Team Hines on Sunday.
Carmen’s Crew is organized and coached by Ohio State star and former NBA player Jared Sullinger. Dallas Lauderdale serves as an assistant coach. The playing roster includes: David Lighty (2006-11), Jon Diebler (2007-11), William Buford (2008-12), Aaron Craft (2010-14), Lenzelle Smith Jr. (2010-14), Evan Ravenel (2011-13), Shannon Scott (2011-15), Kosta Koufus (2006-07), Keyshawn Woods (2018-19), Jeff Gibbs (Otterbein) and Julian Mavunga (Miami OH).
The TBT is a $1 million-dollar, winner-take-all event that culminates on with the championship game on August 3 in Dayton, Ohio. The winners from Tuesday night’s games in Columbus will join the other winners from the regions in Morgantown, Wichita and Peoria in Dayton next weekend for the quarterfinals.
