Anyone have a similar circumstance?
Did a 3yr lease one pay back in May 2017
Car has been in the shop for the same issue 5x
Dealer has already given me 2m back for previous repair visits
Manufacturer rep told me they would build or get me into a similar car of my choice
They have now come back saying they would cut me a check for the pro-rated amount of time I had left on my lease.
I would then have to re-do a new lease on a new vehicle
I was really not prepared to get into a new vehicle just yet, and frankly not sure of what I want.
Lemon law in Texas states the manufacturer has to replace the car with a like model or repurchase. I guess my question is does a “repurchase” constitute a payout for the un-used portion of my lease? They would now like an answer by Thursday. I feel my hand is forced and I now have to jump into a car without doing any proper research. Maybe I’m just SOL?
