OT - South Tahoe

about to start a summer vacation in south Tahoe. Will be active with hikes and the water, but anyone with good restaurant recs?

Might make the drive to Truckee one night (is that worth it?) but all the recs I've been getting are for Tahoe city and north Tahoe.

Any help is appreciated!
