Excited for Ohio State basketball

Listen, I know this 2022-2023 basketball season will be full of highs, lows, excitements and frustration for Team 124. I personally think they’ll be a 11-9 or 12-8 in the Big Ten this year and finish the year strong… But I am sitting here thinking about the possibilities of next year for Ohio State with a starting lineup of:
Bruce Thornton
Roddy Gale Jr
Brice Sensabaugh
Devin Royal
Zed key/Okpara

with
Scotty Middleton and Taison Chatman off the bench and maybe Eugene Brown?

While assessing the struggles in the run game, Ryan Day didn’t sound like someone eager to shake up the offensive line situation.

Biden and dems tell Transgenders that when....

it comes time to sign up for the draft to preserve their power and money...Uncle Sam doesn't give a shit about how you identify. You're going to sign up! So I guess your company, school and society have to accept it but the government isn't buying it. Go kick rocks.

Remembering the 1950 Snow Bowl against Michigan

Snow may trump wind when it comes to difficult game conditions. Take the Nov. 25, 1950 Ohio State vs. Michigan Snow Bowl game in Ohio Stadium which was won by Michigan 9-3. The win sent Michigan to the Rose Bowl. OSU had gone the previous year and could not go back-to-back. Had the Buckeyes won, Wisconsin may have gone? Because so much was on the line, the game was played, not cancelled.
Attendance was listed at 79,868, but that may have been a stretch? The temperature was 10 degrees, wind gusted up to 28 mph. Ohio State scored first to lead 3-0. Michigan scored a safety cutting the lead to 3-2. Michigan then blocked a punt at the end of the first half and fell on the ball in the end zone to extend the lead to 9-3. Neither team scored in the second half.
Michigan punted 24 times and had no first downs the entire game, Ohio State punted 21 times, but had 3 first downs.
I was not at the game, I wasn't born until a week later.

2002 & 2014

I’ve read from numerous posters that this team doesn’t look like a NC team and their ability to run the ball is a real concern and seem convinced they won’t be able to beat good teams.

I’m curious if you felt strongly OSU was going to win in 2002 & 2014 around this time of year?

I recall looking pedestrian most of the year in 2002 and without Clarett could not run the ball and really never could pass the ball.

In 2014 I recall many jumped shipped on Urban after the VT loss ( 3rd in 4 games ) and believed he had lost it. They gave up like 4-60+ yard TD’s to Cincinnati, needed OT to beat a 6 loss PSU team, Tevin Coleman had like 250 yards rushing including a few 80+ yarders.

Basketball HOOPS LIVE THREAD: Ohio State vs. Robert Morris (7 p.m., BTN+)

Getting this going now with the availability report for tonight's season opener against Robert Morris.

Gene Brown, who missed the exhibition against Chaminade while in concussion protocol, is unavailable.

That's it.

Justice Sueing is available after missing the exhibition while dealing with an ankle sprain.

I'll be in attendance tonight and will have live updates here throughout the game. If any wants to chat hoops, I'll be around to do that as well.
