Ohio State the last decade has had centers who have gone on to play in the NFL. I also remember that most of those players, namely Luke Wypler (Cleveland) and Josh Myers (Green Bay) at times were wild, erratic with their snaps....making life miserable for the QBs.
So far this season, I can't think of a time when first-year starter Carson Hinzman has had a bad snap. That has helped Kyle McCord.
And for McCord, he has had numerous passes that were tipped or were underthrown and they could have been picked off...but they weren't. Against ND, there were probably 3 passes on that game-winning drive that could have easily been intercepted: passes to Stover, Fleming and Harrison.
Hopefully, the coaches are working to eliminate those dangerous throws. Against the best teams, the offense can't afford those turnovers.
