OT: Update on Birm and heartbreaking family situation

I posted this in the recruiting thread, but I decided to start a separate one (with his permission) since not everyone checks the recruiting stuff daily.

If you didn’t catch Birm’s tweets earlier today then please see below and feel free to assist if you’re able to do so. Definitely thinking about the family right now 🙏

Road Beers and Breaks: Indiana Edition

Birm and I are hitting the road to Indiana shortly, and CardCollector2 in Grove City is once again sponsoring a live mailbag-style show on the road like we did last season. We're thrilled to have the opportunity, and let this be the first time of many that I remind you there is a huge Trade Night coming at the shop during the off week at the end of the month that I promise Ohio State fans won't want to miss.

As for tonight:

If there's anything at all that you want to ask us, feel free to pass along those questions -- football or otherwise.

Fall Camp News - Not Ohio State

Thought I’d make a thread for fall camp updates from around the country. Feel free to delete if it exists and I missed it.

According to Josh Pate Georgia didn’t have a great scrimmage this weekend based on their standards. Biggest concern is WR room. Struggling with dropped balls. Lots of unproven talent.

Same story with Clemson. Sounds like they their lack of NFL talent on the perimeter that was such a key to their success continues.

Sounds like Jalen Milroe had a good day at Alabama. Josh seems to think he’s going to be their guy and never bought into the Tyler Buchner noise. Expects them to be much more run heavy this year as most people have assumed.

Kind of random, but Utah’s backup QB had a bad injury. Sounds like season ending. Cam Rising is still recovering from his ACL injury and is apparently 50-50 for the Florida game which kind of sucks. Was looking forward to that rematch in Utah.

Feel free to contribute

Michigan has 93 scholarship players

Oklahoma has 87 scholarship players but 2 are ‘non-tradional’—receiving their scholarship from NIL only. Looks like Michigan has as many as 8 doing this, since they have 93 total ‘scholarship players.’ Nothing is fair in college football. Ohio State and the other top tier programs have plenty of advantages but limiting scholarships has been around for several decades. But apparently not anymore. Ohio State likely has at least one in this boat—Lorenzo Styles. I wonder if the days of over 100 scholarship players are on their way back?
