Last year’s Notre Dame game

Looking at last years snap counts and a few things I had forgotten.

I remembered JSN got hurt early and barely played but forgot Fleming was out.

Taron Vincent played the most snaps at DT and Sawyer played more snaps than Harrison (26-15)

Chambers and Simon split snaps

Only had two CB’s play and Burke was banged up.

3 safeties played almost all the snaps. McCallister, Ransom and Hickman.

Considering that it was MHJ 2nd start, EE’s 1st and X first real game action you’d think the WR’s will be much better this year.

Defensively this team has considerably more depth and talent they trust IMO.

Football WKU Rewatch: Second thoughts on Buckeyes' impressive win

Thoughts on the corners, Josh Proctor and the option plays that Ryan Day is giving Kyle McCord -- all with an eye toward Notre Dame.

MOTORHOME PARKING at the ND game.

Just a heads up for Buckeyes coming to the ND game in a motorhome! I have had a spot confirmed since Apri for $300. I even offered to pay in advance. As recently as Saturday the price in person was still $300. This morning I get a text saying with the demand the price went up to $450.
If I didn't already have plans and friends to stop by, I sure as hell wouldn't be bringing my motorhome!! We live close enough that I could ride my bicycle to the game.

Recruiting a return specialist like Jaylin Lucas

@Birm Just wondering if this is a possibility. I understand Day is not interested in having somebody back there who may turn over the ball and that makes sense. If he doesn’t trust the people on the roster, do you think he would be open to finding a transfer with this skill set? Just looked up jaylin Lucus and looks like he is a true sophomore. With Indiana likely to be in transition, I wonder if he will be available. If not him then there will probably be others like him. I think this could be a win for our anemic return game and a better use of a scholarship than a 4th string developmental guard.

Snap Counts

Interesting to see the backups battle for pt and seeing how that is shaking out. Current set of transfers are not much to write about. Most people thought Malone from Ole Miss was going to compete for 4th spot at DT. He is 6th in snaps. Looks like Carter is not going to beat out Proctor and is competing with Hartford for 2nd string. Parker Lewis saw his first action in 2 years. 5th year Vic Culter saw his first action on Oline. Looks like the long snapper has been best transfer.

Michigan - JJ McCarthy

JJ McCarthy looked really impressive this past weekend. Seen a few scouts raving about his game film and improvements in his play. I know lots of people will discount this because of the competition, but impressive play is impressive play. USC is playing cupcakes, but you can still tell Caleb Williams is playing at an extremely high level.

This is going to be a massive year for Ryan Day on so many levels. There’s the obvious big picture questions and expectations he faces every year. Then below the surface we’ll also get to see the McCord vs McCarthy experiment and if the right decision was made there. We’re lucky to have a plan B in Brown if necessary, but nobody really has a clue how good he is either.

In addition to that you have Treveyon Henderson and Donovan Edwards. Fortunately our RB room is loaded, but that’s another storyline I’m sure many will be paying attention to as well.

Anyways, was just watching the Michigan game again and thinking about all that. I can’t help but think Ryan Day has the weight of the world on him right about now.
