Snap Judgements: Will Howard's Decision-Making

Really liked the discussion about Will Howard's decision-making. It seems like Howard does well in all of the under-the-radar stuff the QB's need to do well--pocket movement, poise, and decision-making. Strong arm and accuracy are huge but not sure that they are any more important than these things. I remember when Kenny Guiton came in for Braxton and did these subtle things better and the offense seemed to stay on track better. JT Barrett seemed great at decision-making as well. So did Craig Krenzel. The running ability and the leadership Howard shows seem great too but I think the decision-making, poise and pocket movement make Howard stand out compared to what McCord did last year. The fact Howard has a good arm and good accuracy make him even better than Krenzel or Barrett. Seems like OSU is in good hands.

3 weeks in (Just 2 for Ohio State I suppose) - How do you feel about the Oregon game?

First two weeks - they weren't very good but they looked better against ORST - granted... I don't know how good that team really is (But it might be better than anything we have played?).

Whatcha feeling? After the first two weeks, I felt good but I do think they are putting it together after the Civil War game - which I suppose was bound to happen .

BETTING THREAD: WEEK 3 CFB / WEEK 2 NFL

Week 2 CFB Week 1 NFL in the books.

Some unexplainable NFL finishes during week 1, none more than the TEN/CHI game though.

Since Pappy was just a wee little lad, underdogs +4 or more who had a 17+ point lead in the game were 66-1-1 ATS. Im not entirely sure who the 1 loss and 1 push were, but I can guarantee that neither of those two teams made their historical comeback VIA a blocked punt return, two 50 yard FGs, a pick 6, and a 2pt conversion while shutting their opponent out the entire second half. That's what the Bears did to make Caleb Williams the first top QB pick to win his NFL debut since David Carr in 2002. So of course that was my top play on my board without a single source from any sector picking the Bears to cover... lol. That my friends is why you set limits and manage your bankrolls.

RIP to my survivor pool as well. MOVING ON

Im going to post my favorite plays soon, in addition to the composite system plays which is all Ive ever really shared. Lets do some handicapping and LFG

Targeting???

In light of tonight's total BS call of targeting on Burke I am trying to figure out how it's being called. I listen to so called experts like Blandino explain it and it makes no sense for most of these calls. Aside from blatantly using the crown as a weapon or going high on a receiver in the act of catching the ball all these other bs targeting calls need to be gone. Also if it's not called on the field I think it shouldn't be done by replay... see how bad the NFL was with replay re officiating PI..

Also I think it's run it's coarse getting head hunting out of the game and the ejection portion needs to go away. Just make it a personal foul 15 yrd penalty and move on.

Maybe I am wrong but is the stupid fist to head gesture to the head not the dumbest hand jesture in all of officiating.

Question on Jordan Seaton

@Birm it’s been mentioned that he looked less than pleased on TV shots during the Nebraska game. You’ve also mentioned his name in regards to upcoming portal activity with the commitment of Sanders to UT. My question is this: is the interest there from the OSU side of things? I think back to Caleb Downs. He absolutely balled out at Alabama, but you also mentioned for the entirety of his recruitment that his personality was a fit at OSU. If I remember correctly, Seaton was at one time the dreaded “silent commit” and then appears to have just gone the highest bidder route. That doesn’t scream OSU personality to me. While there is a need, is there a fit and a realistic one at that?
