Justin Frye Talent Evals

Was watching the Marc Nave's film and marveled at his athleticism and the diamond in the rough that he is. Between this and the Vic Cutler offer, I've really become impressed with Frye's eye and what he is looking for in his lineman.

It feels like every project Stud picked up was a slow footed kid that just had size. Frye has an eye for potential in connection to attitude and raw speed/footwork.

Really excited with him as a talent evaluator moving forward.

Intel has picked Greater Columbus for a new factory that could spark a new industry for the state.
The Silicon Valley semiconductor maker plans to invest $20 billion in a Licking County site that will employ 3,000 workers, a source close to the project told The Dispatch.
The site also will employ thousands of construction workers along with workers from Intel suppliers that will locate at the site as well, the source said.

GOP Rigged Primary

Who will the billionaire elites choose as the GOP candidate in 2024?

The donor network created by the billionaire industrialist brothers Charles G. and David H. Koch is preparing to get involved in the presidential primaries in 2024, with the aim of turning “the page on the past” in a thinly veiled rebuke of former President Donald J. Trump, according to an internal memo.

The network, which consists of an array of political and advocacy groups backed by hundreds of ultrawealthy conservatives, has been among the most influential forces in American politics over the past 15 years, spending nearly $500 million supporting Republican candidates and conservative policies in the 2020 election cycle alone. But it has never before supported candidates in presidential primaries.

Americans for Prosperity’s super PAC spent nearly $80 million during the 2022 midterm elections, but that is likely just a fraction of the network’s overall spending, much of which was undertaken by nonprofit groups that will not be required to reveal their finances until this fall.

On3 changing Consensus Rankings weighting

Shannon Terry was tweeting how On3 is likely going to get rid of the equal weighting on their Consensus Rankings. Looks like it will be something like:

247 and On3 will be weighted 35% each

Rivals/ESPN will be weighted 15% each

Apparently he thinks 247/On3 do the best evaluations. I say nobody should be using ESPNs rankings anymore.

Interesting article on NIL

Feel free to delete if it’s against the rules. It’s a free article, but I know it’s a competing site.

I found Mark Fletcher’s quote funny as he equated how much money a school will give you with how much they respect you. Maybe he doesn’t realize that the school might just not have the money.

The 600K offer to play at Utah was pretty wild.

It’s crazy if you go to the Utah Athletics site they have a link to donate to NIL right at the top of the page.

#STUFF Davison Igbinosun visit ...

Ole Miss transfer is visiting this weekend.

Been some weirdness in his recruitment this time around, Tennessee folks believe he's already a done deal with the Vols. Doesn't appear to be the case.

NIL likely to be a factor in final decision so don't think that works out great for Ohio State but the Buckeyes are in the conversation.

How will the BIG10 remain competitive?

I’m guessing this has been posted before, but it really is pretty ridiculous. It’s no secret the SEC is the best conference, but this is embarrassing. Especially since the BIG10 is generally considered to be the second best conference. Throw in Texas and Oklahoma and the SEC would have 29 5 stars. With USC and UCLA the Big10 would have 4.

This past season was a real snooze fest with only a handful of exciting games in the conference. Big10 offenses are anemic outside of a few teams and Big Noon Kickoff basically camped out at Michigan the first half of the season because of the lack of interesting games. Hopefully the new teams and coaches inject some life into the conference so this doesn’t become the new standard. Ohio State will always remain competitive, but I completely understand why top recruits would want to play in the SEC.

Any info on the new coaching hire?

Maybe I missed it here, but didn't see it.

The Ohio State Buckeyes have hired former Southern University defensive ends coach LaAllan Clark as a defensive line assistant, per an announcement from Clark on social media Wednesday.

"Truly Blessed!! Let's Work!! #GoBuckeyes," Clark tweeted.

The CEO of LC Performance, Clark might be best known for his extensive work with active and former NFL defensive linemen. Those who took advantage of his instruction were Jeffrey Simmons, Danielle Hunter, and Ed Oliver. More than 50 defensive linemen in the NFL took advantage of Clark's teaching last season.
