If I am Day, McCord is Benched!

No question about it. I have never seen an OSU QB since Bauserman that can't read the field or make throws and still be starting. Take away MHJ and dude COMP% is trash. Does not go through progressions, misses open receivers while throwing into double / triple coverage, stares down check-downs but more than all of that, dude plays straight scared. No confidence at all. I fought for CJ and normally defend our QB's. I played QB in DII and I cant imagine the speed at which the game goes at that level. But either you have it, or you don't. Clearly he don't. When you stare down Stover from the snap, throw to him low and outside with two scUM players on him and you miss the corner route where Flemming is wide a## open right behind him bc you didn't read the safety, definitely a no in my book. He knows exactly where he wants to throw by the play call and its so obvious. LB and DB's shifting pre-play and he is not even watching them. Its sad. That was it for me. Add the comment he made "Another Game", that is all I would need as a HC.

You have a month to get Lincoln up to speed. Dude killed it in fall camp. Promise you that he could not do worse than #6.

There will be more horror stories as people with a conscious ....

come forward and talk about the lies and mutilation of kids. It is astonishing people couch this disgusting shit as "helping" young kids. I was amazed at the mental illnesses, drug addicted and troubled kids they just said yea lets transition them that will fix it. UNREAL.

Why is the B1G so bad at basketball now?

8-10 years ago, I would argue we had the deepest conference with quality ball being played . Right now we have 2 ranked teams (Purdue and Illinois).

no Matta, Williams, Ryan, Tubby Smith, Beilein, etc. anymore as coaches.

Maybe not as much top end talent with regards to players?

What changed ? I think the decline started well before NIL.

Calling Austin & Bill…BoB and Chip thought

@Bill Landis and @AustinWard hell throw @Birm in there too lol. I’ve had a thought and wondered about others opinions. We’ve discussed how Day quickly pivoted to Chip after BoB left for BC and how it might actually be a better fit. That being said, I wonder how much more benefit the unorthodox process provided to Day shaking out the way it did? Specifically, we know that coaches might go visit a program for a weekend to gather concepts and exchange ideas. They now bring in analysts, like OSU did with Philbin and many others. But I gotta think that chopping it up with BoB in an interview and subsequently for albeit a few short weeks in Columbus had to have been a valuable offseason experience for Day. BoB seems like a no bullshit guy that would’ve come in and laid bare the warts that he saw and pulled no punches. Sometimes you need to hear it. Just seems like a hell of a consulting experience that he might’ve just kinda stumbled into.
