Football Analyzing the impact of key Cotton Bowl opt-ins

We didn't talk to all of OSU's players who could opt out of the bowl game, and surely there are more who will be playing that didn't speak on Tuesday. But today's interviews still brought some good news for the Buckeyes as they prep for Missouri.

Black Rock, Neocons, and lobbyists .....OH MY....

This video of testimony at the UN a few days ago is really something. Why are we in Ukraine again? I thought Ukraine was winning? How long has this proxy war been going on? This war is essentially a big slush fund for scumbag politicians, arms dealers, dictator wannabes, defense industry lobbyists and private contractors....OH and Black Rock don't forget Black Rock which runs the country with the intelligence services now. It's the movie Dirty Rotten Scoundrels but on a global level and more people die.

Couple Questions

I understand that those who are in the transfer portal are through. Those who declare for the nfl can still play in the bowl game, although they may opt out, correct? Do you suppose the coaching staff really knows who is entering the draft and who is not despite players saying publicly they have not yet made a decision?

Heisman Finalist QBs - Current Portal QBs

All 3 QBs who were Heisman finalists started for 3-4 years at their previous school before starting 2 seasons at their current school. I don’t think anyone saw Heisman finalist in their future when they were in the portal. If they were in the portal today with their resume at the time of their transfer, how would they compare to Howard, Ward, and Leonard?

- Penix (29 yds/15 ints 4 seasons @ Indiana, 64 tds/17 ints 2 seasons @ Washington)
- Nix (39 tds/ 16 ints 3 seasons @ Auburn, 69 tds/10 ints 2 seasons @ Oregon
- Daniels (32 tds/13 int 3 seasons @ Arizona State, 57 tds/7 ints 2 seasons @ LSU)

- Howard (48 tds/25 ints 4 seasons @ Kansas State)
- Ward (48 tds/16 ints 2 seasons @ Wazzu)
- Leonard (24 tds/10 ints 3 seasons @ Duke)

Let's move traditional bowl games to mid-season.

Bowl games don't mean anything anymore. With the upcoming 12 team playoff, they will matter even less.

Why not have a designated Bowl Week during the course of the season that occupies a current non-conference game slot on the schedule?

Example: Bowl Week is week nine.

After week seven, the CFP committee can release their initial CFP rankings, along with their selections for Bowl Week matchups. These games would be hand-picked by the committee to place similarly ranked, non-conference foes against each other in true neutral site games, and the results in those games would actually go into determining the rankings and seedings for the playoffs themselves. The matchups come out two weeks prior so everyone can make travel arrangements. We get compelling matchups that are guaranteed to shake up the rankings and improve everyone's schedule.

Good idea?
