@Bill Landis I was pretty excited to see the punt block. It got me thinking about the state of our return units. EE looked like he could be a difference maker at kick off late last year and early this year. JSN goes down and we switched EE to punt. He has never looked comfortable there. Might have been better to leave EE in kickoff. Most of the time we don’t even try for a return. Why not have Marvin Harrison back there and just tell him to fair catch it every time? And have EE back on kickoff? I would be curious what Day or Parker would say about this.

I think we’re all ready for next week thought I’d pose the question what you’re hoping Day and Co have special for 11/26. Ideally something they haven’t shown all year. I’ve got one per phase:

Offense-screen game for TE and RB. Even without the full compliment of backs I think X can make a contribution here. Honorable mention is going for 2 on every extra point.

Defense-8 man boxes. Don’t care really if it’s 4-4 or 5-2 with a safety down low. Make McCarthy win the game with his arm.

ST-tough one given that they just blocked a punt and have run a fake against Rutgers. I’m gonna with onside kick to start the game or 2nd half. Why? Because fuk them that’s why.
